Plans for Plot 3
The designers wanted to retain the character and style of the existing cottage, while at the same time providing a dwelling capable of meeting the demands of a modern family in an imaginative and creative way. The existing cottage has been virtually doubled in size and the four double bedrooms eliminate the trend towards small box rooms so prevalent in new homes.

Ground FloorThe entrance hall provides access to both wings of the dwelling. The West Wing accommodates the heart of any home, namely the kitchen and dining areas. The use of double doors means that the space can either be used in an open plan style, or it can be used as separate areas. The East Wing accommodates the leisure aspect to the home. A generous Living Room with the large bay window enjoys views over the garden and there is also a second reception room that can be used as a study, TV room or childrens play room. The ground floor also has a cloakroom.
